The Pin Tool

The pinning tool can be used to create pins in the scene. Pins are large markers that scale based on distance, making them easily findable landmarks. Pins are also a great way to travel long distances in a scene.

Accessing the Pin Tool

  1. edit In the left-hand menu, click the Edit Scenery button.

  2. pin Click the Pin Tool button.

Dropping a Pin

  1. pin-tool Press the Pin Dropper button to enable dropping pins. Cursor changes to a pin.

 

Click in the scene to create a pin.

  • Hovering over a pin enlarges it.

  • Click text above pin to name it.

  • Double click to move camera to pin.

 

Pin List

  1. Click “Pin List” to display all pins.

  1. List of all pins created in a scene. Click on the name to edit the name of the pin.

  2. Click on the compass to instantly move your camera to that pin’s location. This makes for an easy way to navigate a scene.

  3. Click the red trashcan to delete a pin from the scene.

 

Comments as Pins

After a pin is dropped and named, comments can be added by clicking on the pin. After the pin is clicked, then the following panel will appear from the session menu on the right side of the screen:

  1. Enter your message in this text field.

  2. Press the “Send” button to add the message to the pin.

  3. The message will appear in this area.

  4. Press the magnifying glass to search the comments.

 

  1. Edit the pin details:

Image URL can be a link to a static image or a video feed. Keep in mind that the aspect ratio needs to be that of a video, for example 16:9. An example of how a comments section might look with an image and description:

Tip

Click the X to close the comments as pins section. Alternatively, click the blue pin icon in the session menu to close the panel.
